The Source of Aletheia

The Source of Aletheia International Institute, known as The Source of Aletheia, is the organization that stewards Universal Panpsychism. It is a religious corporation registered in Delaware and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It publishes The Bridge and maintains this wiki.

Aletheia is the Greek word for truth.

Purpose

Framework claim

The organization describes itself as "a spiritual community dedicated to supporting humanity's conscious evolution through love, wisdom, and service."[1] The Bridge serves as its source text. According to the Author's Note, the organization "exists to explore truth through openness, inquiry, and integration rather than authority or belief enforcement."

Structure

Framework claim

The Institute is led by a Coordinating Council, chaired by J.C. Ryan, who is also the primary writer of The Bridge. The Council is credited as co-author of the book and receives readers' comments on it. An Editorial Council is credited with editing and compiling the text.

What it does

Framework claim
  • Publishes The Bridge and offers it as a free download.
  • Hosts a community through its website, including forums.
  • Maintains this wiki as a public reference.

Orientation

Framework claim

The Institute states that its orientation is pluralistic and non-coercive, and that people who hold other beliefs are welcome. Its ethical commitments are the Twelve Core Values, which The Bridge presents as invitations and not as rules.

Independence of sources

Established scholarship

The researchers and organizations whose work the framework draws on are independent of the Institute. None has reviewed or endorsed Universal Panpsychism. This includes IANDS and every person listed in the People category of this wiki.

A note on this wiki

Open question

This wiki is published by the organization it describes. Readers should weigh that. The editorial standards are meant to offset it: claims are attributed, sections are labeled by how well supported they are, and the strongest objections are given their own articles. See Editorial standards.
